Sure, it’s a decent defense for overcoming tier gaps, but why would Professor Jewelry, who can cast higher-tier defensive spells, need this?

So he joined that dumb board game club.

3rd-tier spells are trickier—some can’t be cast instantly, so they take time.

– Kim Muggle) Exactly. That 7th-tier spell was tough. Some 4th-tier ones take time too, though I’ve done some fast.

– ExtremeEfficiencyFreak) Point is, you don’t have time to slowly climb tiers. We can teach you spells for each situation via the gallery. Being able to cast new spells quickly is key.

– MagicIsntHard) That’s it! Intuition. Honing the ‘visualization’ part of the 8 factors reduces the time to cast new spells.

– MeditationKing) Young mages think computation is everything, but visualization is more critical.

Their explanation:

Casting magic relies on visualizing the spell’s image from its formula.

Without visualization, even great computation fails.

Computation’s useless without visualization too, but since my computation is solid, honing visualization could let me cast new spells instantly.

That’d help me use gallery-taught spells in dangerous situations.

In other words, the gallers’ ability to grasp multi-dimensional magic quickly comes from their visualization skills.

– ExtremeEfficiencyFreak) Most great spells aren’t as easy to visualize. The deeper the spell’s ‘meaning’ and the higher its tier, the harder it is. Hone it more, and you’ll cast normal spells faster.
